On Tuesday 26th September the Sight Village came to Sandy Park in Exeter.  QAC Sight Village is described as the UK’s leading exhibition for blind and partially sighted people and for those experiencing sight problems’.

There were health and social care professionals with support and advice for VIP’s.  Trade stands and exhibitors enabled people to try out at first hand the latest technology, products and services available.

Helen McIntosh, MDM Chair, went along and said, “It was a brilliant event visited by people of all ages living with varying degrees of sight loss.”  There were lots of trade stands but also plenty of room to sit and chat over a coffee (and cake!).

Helen met a number of listeners from the Dawlish and Teignmouth Talking Newspaper who had travelled together by minibus to visit the event., as well as listeners from other TNs.  Perhaps we could do that next year!

Admission is FREE to all Sight Village events.
