Jill Persey

Following on the success of our wonderful Farmer John series with Rose, we’re pleased now to introduce you to Jill Persey.  Together Rose and Jill will be bringing you a new feature:  ‘Country Matters’, which we’re sure you’ll enjoy.

Rose and Jill will be meeting on alternate months to catch up with what’s happening on the farm, in the local countryside and, by the sounds of it, in the kitchen too!

Jill farms a mixed farm at Allhallows Farm, Blackborough, where they have a significant dairy herd.  As a Director of the Devon Agricultural Association and a Trustee of the Tiverton Agricultural Association, Jill is extremely well connected with the local farming fraternity and is a massive advocate of Women in Farming.

And as if that weren’t enough, Jill’s family also runs the Keepers Cottage pub at Kentisbeare, with an outside catering business alongside.  Jill’s son, Ashley, is the chef, while her brother, Ross, has the Exe Valley Farm Shop and sister, Celia, has a Farm Shop in Bath.  Jill’s a busy lady!
